I created CaffDex to act as a community-driven platform for energy drink enthusiasts. I was annoyed there was no easy way for me to track what I've tried, liked, and disliked without opening up Excel. There are similar websites and platforms to CaffDex, but I had problems with these:
I wanted to create a website that gave a similar experience for energy drinks to that of Letterboxd (community-driven rating/tracking for movies and TV), MyAnimeList (anime and manga), and Fragrantica (fragrances and colognes). The energy drink industry is worth multiple billions of dollars, and any grocery store, gym, supplement store, or gas station will have a wall of energy drinks to choose from. Enthusiasts and casual enjoyers alike can all benefit from being able to see what the general consensus of a drink is before buying them.
I've been working on the site for around a year, and while a lot of work has gone into verifying and researching information for products and brands, there will always be facts that aren't correct. If you see anything that doesn't line up with your personal experience — e.g. nutrition facts, ingredients, or product images — please submit it through the Submit Feedback form on each product page and footer.
Most brand and product info has been taken from reliable sources i.e. Amazon, Walmart, or directly from the source (some brands provide this info better than others, i.e. Red Bull). Again, if there's a discrepancy, please use the Submit Feedback form. You can also use it to request adding a missing product (you can submit optional info to make the process easier for me to add) or share a feature idea. While the project isn't open source, I welcome ideas and would love to hear from anyone with a feature or brand they'd like to see added.
